  • Dane Tornell finished his 5th season of basketball at RHS.  We ended a fun season with a 16-2 record. Great group of gals that I will move up with next season.

  • Rob Johnson (Wellspring Church youth pastor) has been putting together work parties of young men at the Ritchey Ranch. They have removed about 18 fallen trees just in the last three weeks. The boys tell me how much fun and satisfying the work is.

    Put hands to task

    -God

  • The “TRAIL BOSS” being put to work at the Ritchey Ranch

  • An incredible YFC donor gave us this excavator to get some big projects done.  We cleaned it up.  Ready to go!

  • Thanks B&B Roads for moving it!!

  • Sometimes I just want to close my eyes

And act like everyone’s all right

    Well no, they’re not

    This world needs God

But it’s easier to just stand and watch

I could say a prayer and just move on

    Like nothing’s wrong

    But I refuse”

(from “I Refuse” by Josh Wilson)

  • Have you heard that song before?  Have you felt that same way? How do you respond to the needs all around?  Do you respond?  As the song lyrics cry out, do you ‘refuse’?

James 1:27 is clear about how we should respond:

“Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world“

It’s fairly easy to love a friend who has lost her husband or a child whose father has died. Unfortunately, teen moms and their babies are often just as ‘widowed’ and ‘orphaned’, and do not receive much help. Baby dad is often out of their lives, teen moms are often left on their own, and many are still trying to get through school!

Where do you fit in? What can you do to help?
Are you interested in helping the teen moms in Parent Life?

  • But what can YOU offer?

Prayer! Join the Parent Life Prayer Warriors!
Supplies! The most basic needs will always be baby and mom supplies of all kinds! Large and small!
Time! We need mentors and volunteers! Can you offer childcare while moms take part in a Bible study?
Funding! As God has blessed you, perhaps you can bless others! Any amount is welcome.

  • Mikaela, Jaiden and Erin are 3 of the young moms meeting every two weeks at Roseburg High School to learn about budgeting, looking for work, and scheduling their busy lives. They also have the rare opportunity to share their struggles with other teen moms who understand their lives. Relationships are being built!

  • Talented upcycle jewelry artist Linda Gritzner has  donated many of her one of a kind pieces to raise funds for Parent Life. Please join us for the auction during the ACTS 30 Talent Competition!
