Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

"For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace" Isaiah 9:6

We, at Youth for Christ, are ready for the next year. We are growing at an astonishing rate. Just in the last two weeks we have connected eight youth with a mentor and are discipling them in local churches. We thank you for your prayers and support.

  • Every Wednesday morning, 14-20 high school students meet together to drink yummy drinks, encourage each other, read the Bible and discuss often difficult subjects. Thank you Heidi Underwood for your support. Click here for more info.

  • Brandon Ikola (FabForm) and I are building and selling these motorcycle racks. Monies raised will help support costs on all our bike maintenance.

  • Carol Sherwood, (Parent Life Director) doesn’t ‘really’ begin her mission until June. Yet, she is already doing amazing work. We have received thousands of dollars in donated items to help teen parents. This need is huge in our county. Thank you Jesus for people like Carol.

  • Jaiden is having fun! This is Parent Life in action; teaching young moms the necessary skills of motherhood.

  • Jaco, (City Life Director) pours himself into our local youth. Many of the kids have no way to get around. Jaco takes care of that. Thank you Roseburg community for all your donations.

  • Putting hands to work...

    Learning practical skills...

  • ...Seeing and hearing the Gospel...

    Creating something useful...

  • We are almost done with our 1st of 5 entry level road bikes builds.

  • As he wiped the grease from his hands he asked, "do people who live here at Casa get their own room?" “Joe” was interested in moving in, but unsure about making that jump. Couch surfing and sharing a motel room w/ 6 other people at 12 years old must be getting old. 10 minutes after asking that question we were making plans for an "intake" appointment. Sadly today was the day of his appointment, and he was a no show. 2 weeks ago Casa took in 2 sisters. After being at Casa for one week they took off w/ the promise of being able to stay at another resident's grandma's house. Why did they leave? They felt that Casa had "too many rules." So how do we reach out to, love, and guide those who resist any assistance? How do “WE” help? We pray for God to work in the ways only He can.
