Hello Youth for Christ partners!

We have many hopes and dreams for the expansion and effectiveness of YFC. We believe that the addition of these resources will help us reach more youth with the Gospel of Jesus. Rather than simply purchasing these items, we want to give you the first opportunity to partner with us in our mission to disciple the youth in Douglas County. Contact us if you have any of these items to give or to sell. Please check back here from time to time as this list will update.

If you have any of these items please contact Dane Tornell

Thanks for your support!

  • Parent Life

    Baby supplies:

Diapers and formula are always a need. We also need newborn (0-3) baby clothes. We gladly accept new or used (washed) clothes.

  • Parent Life

We have several teen moms who would greatly appreciate a stroller for their little ones.

  • Parent Life

Do you have the desire to help with everyday logistics? Simply giving a teen mom and her baby a ride once a week would be very helpful for them to attend parenting classes or other activities. We always pair male drivers with teen dads and female drivers with moms.

  • YFC-Ritchey Ranch

Dozens of volunteers have put countless hours in at the Ritchey Ranch. This beautiful property is being prepared for youth camps, community events, guest speakers, family camps, and much more! This property has a variety of landscapes; from beaches to cliffs! A UTV would be an incredible help to the projects. YFC would use this for road/trail development, tools/supplies transportation, property management, etc.

  • YFC-Ritchey Ranch

The Ritchey Ranch serves our community in a variety of ways. As more and more youth are being mentored through motorcycle and mountain biking activities, there is a great need for a large waterproof storage area on the ranch. We could use a 20'-40' shipping container or anything comparable.

  • YFC-Ritchey Ranch

YFC currently has a large (to us) excavator. We are very thankful for this piece of equipment, and we have several projects for it. After those projects are completed, we are looking to trade our current excavator and get a smaller (12,000-15,000lb) machine. This will be used for trail development, and to create usable terrain in hard-to-get places. The current excavator we have is far too big to access many locations on the property.

  • YFC-Ritchey Ranch

We are in need of chainsaws in all sizes! There are many downed trees on the ranch that need cut up and relocated. A range of large and small chainsaws would be very helpful.

  • YFC-Ritchey Ranch

The volunteers at the Ritchey Ranch are using anything from chainsaws to quads to excavators to prepare the property for the coming events.  Having a fuel barrel with a pump would be a great help for the work parties.

  • YFC-Ritchey Ranch

Heavy equipment - We will purchase your fuel.  We also have many experienced operators.  Small Excavators, bull dozers and loaders are needed in this order of importance.

  • YFC-Ritchey Ranch

Old building materials. Almost anything 5' in length and longer of almost any dimension will be used.

  • YFC-Ritchey Ranch

Mountain bike and motorcycle riding gear.  We will store it and take very good care of it.

  • Parent Life

Thank you, Lord, we now have many car seats!

We are in need of car seats of all sizes, rear-facing and forward facing. If you have one that is in good condition and has not been in a wreck, we would love to put it to use.

  • City Life

Thank you, Lord! We now have this item.

City Life would love to have an enclosed cargo trailer in the 8'x10' range.

Jaco Coetzee is heading up our ministry called Umpqua Valley Bicycle Outreach (UVBO).  We use this ministry opportunity to teach kids the skills required to rebuild and tune up bicycles. After the greasy work is finished, Jaco takes these kids for bike rides and adventures. Having a trailer like this would be very helpful for bike storage and transportation. We also have plans to build shelves inside the trailer, creating a mobile bike shop. This would allow Jaco to take his disciples to places like Stewart Park and provide free bike tune-ups for anyone who needs it! Doesn't that sound like a great community ministry opportunity? Jaco gives these kids the skills to repair bikes, then those kids use their skills to serve the community, and in turn, more youth get involved in the ministry.

Thank you, Lord! We now have this item.

We are looking for a 12 passenger van. This will be used for bicycle discipleship trips, outdoor events and any other excuse we can make to take the youth on an adventure! The van needs to have a good towing capacity, as we hope to be able to tow a decent size trailer. See our next wish-list item to understand our entire ministry goal.
