Board of Directors

The Board of Directors is made up of caring, concerned adults from the community. Our board provides direction, oversight, and vision for the Executive Director. The team meets monthly for prayer, ministry updates, and strategic planning.

  • Dane Tornell - Executive Director

    Dane has been with YFC since 1996.

    Married:  Casey (June 21st 1997)

    Three Girls:  Sicily '02,  Vienna '05, and Geneva '07

    Hobbies:  Mountain climbing, Motorcycles, Woodworking, Fitness, XC Skiing, Ultra-light Backpacking

  • John Colby - Vice Chair 

    John and his wife Diana have been with YFC for longer than they can remember! They have two children, Rhea and Paul, and 6 grandchildren. John enjoys golf, traveling, and restoring a 65 El Camino. To John, Youth For Christ represents hope for our youth. 
     

  • Diana Colby - Board Member

    Diana and her husband John have been with YFC for many many years. Their children were involved with YFC in the 1990's. Seeing the impact it had on their kids, and believing in the mission of reaching young lives for Jesus, they decided to get more involved and help further the ministry of YFC. Diana doesn't believe in "I can't". In fact, whenever her Skate Team says they can't do something, they have to do 10 pushups! Never give up, never stop trying.

  • Diane Kimball

    Diane saw joining YFC as a way to offer help and support to our local community, and to give aid to our youth who need to hear the Gospel. She has served YFC since 2011, and has been married to her husband Don for over 40 years! They have two children, Kate and Kelsey. Her hobbies include running, fundraising, and selling travel. To Diane, Youth For Christ represents bringing mentorship and Jesus to our youth. She was greatly impacted by youth groups and church activities during her teen years.

  • Sandie Lucchesi

    Sandie recently retired from being the owner of Between the Buns Sandwich Shop for 42 years. Married for 47 years and counting, her and Barry have one daughter and 2 grandchildren. She has been faithfuly commitment to YFC for over 9 years. As the president of another local non-profit (Parkview Skating), she has much experience and is a great asset to the team. To Sandie, YFC represents a meaningful relationship for lost youth to find God through mentorship.

  • Megan Rodriquez - Adm. Assistant 

    Megan joined YFC in 2013. She is married to Michael, and has 3 kids; Ely, Silas, and Olivia. Her hobbies include traveling, sewing, and chasing her two rascals. To Megan, Youth For Christ represents making a difference in our community through the unity of believers.

  • Michael Rodriguez - Board Chair

    Michael has been with YFC since 2013. He went to school for Civil Engineering, but since 2014 has gone into ministry full-time. Michael is married to Megan and has 3 kids; Ely, Silas, and Olivia. His hobbies include; missions travel, supplying Bibles to the ends of the Earth, camping, bike touring, and changing diapers. To Michael, Youth For Christ represents a community-wide effort to bring the hope of Christ to our youth.

  • Kelly Ellis - Board Member

    Kelly and his wife Melinda have 6 children and 4 grandchildren. He joined YFC in 2016 because he believes in the cause the in promotes and wanted to do his part in seeing it succeed in reaching young people for Christ. To Kelly, Youth For Christ represents a way to share the love and hope of Jesus Christ to a hurting and confused generation of young people.

    So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.

  • Melinda Ellis - Board Member

    Melinda is a physical therapy tech who loves to camp, hike, travel, and spend time with her 4 grandchildren. When she and her husband saw the mission and vision of YFC they loved it and wanted to join the team! To Melinda, Youth For Christ represents the Gospel and love of Jesus Christ being shared with the youth in our community.
